As a matter of fact once sperm hits air it can live for three hours. Inside the vagina it lives for three days. I am a medical student specializing in pregnancy and neonatology so the person who said i was wrong needs to do research. Also as the other guy said the risk is very very low but it still happens. Please be safe.

reader, anonymous, writes (13 January 2009): If sperm goes anywhere near your vagina... there is always a risk. Without penetration, then the risk is significantly lowered, it must be said. But the risk is there, so be aware of it.
You can also get pregnant if you choose IVF where it is artificially placed into your Uterus.
That has to be done by choice, but it can be done.
