TasteofIndia agony auntHello my dear... I just answered a similar question and thought I'd just give you the same advice I gave her. One thing I'd like to say to you personally is to tell your ex to stop calling. If he broke up with you and expects you to move on, he's got to stop calling you up and telling you he loves you. That's a bunch of crap.

Tell him this, "if you're not a relationship kind of guy, then I'm not interested in hearing that you love me. So I'm going to work on getting over you and find someone who IS a relationship kind of guy to love me. Until I feel comfortable enough to be friends with you, I would appreciate it if you didn't call me anymore."

Now, for the "how to get over a breakup" advice:

The best you can do, at least what has always worked best for me and my girlfriends, is to distract yourself. There is no instant cure - only TIME. So what do you do? Distract yourself until you're feeling better about the situation. Call up your girls, tell them to come over and keep you company. Go see a movie, go to the mall and window shop. Talk to some cute boys! Just try to distract your thoughts from your ex. Distraction is the best way to pass that crucial time you need to heal from a break up.

Good luck, my sweet... you'll get over it and be feeling more yourself soon.

breaking up is literally sucky!...coming from someone who was in a relationship for 10 years and then a second for 5 where i was left for my best friend...pretty crappy circumstances....all i have to say is what i have learned is that there are many souls out there that we will fall in love with, you just have to wait this part out...start a journal and start getting all those feelings out...work on your self esteem and know that you are a strong woman who will find happiness and that there are many people out there who will love you the way that you deserve...it is better to have loved and lost than to never to have loved at all...just think that there are people out there who haven't experienced even that much...you are young and have your whole life ahead of you and you will walk new paths that will bring wonderful people across your path...
