I'm dating my forth cousin and none of our family like it, is it just because i'm 16 and hes 18 or because we are cousins? Some of our friends have told us that our children will look like something off of wrong turn. Should i just break up with him to make my family happy?

A female reader, anonymous, writes (5 June 2012):

My ex married his first cousin, and has 2 children with her. Only one of them does look like something off "wrong turn". A 4th cousin I wouldn't consider much of a problem as seeing how I have seen worse. BUT I don't agree with the whole cousin ordeal. There are too many fish in the sea. You are just a "baby" (not really but you are in a parent looking upon their child way) Explore the world...and date some fishes...

Its probably the whole situation in general they all have a problem with. I don't know about your potential children looking like something off wrong turn lol but I know having an intimate relationship with a 1st cousin is illegal because of genetic complications with offspring. As for should you break up with him or not, that's not for me to judge.
