I have a guy friend that seems to only want to be friends however gives mixed messages and can get upset not wanting to "disappoint" me. He constantly calls and wants to hang-out. Should I ask him straight-up if we are more than friends or just leave it be?

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (16 April 2010):

Call his bluff.

Tell him you can't see him any more because you have all these feelings starting for him and he OBVIOUSLY doesn't feel the same or he'd have made a move.

Then look into his eyes and give him a chance to say "But I DO feel the same!!!"

If he still doesn't then he either just wants to be friends and you can get over him, or he's so useless that he'd be a nightmare boyfriend anyway.

Good Luck!! xx

If you fancy him, it would be a shame not to say something and never know how he feels. So talk to him.
