A female United States age 26-29, *unbury writes:

Ok so I've really taken to my old English teacher. She's nice but nobody really understands that she cares. I'm a girl, but I really connect with her :D I went through a lot this year to say the least. My mom was really badly hurt and didn't act the same until May, my family isn't in my state, a girl at my school died and this teacher knew her, I was constantly under pressure organizing a club in her presence because they wouldn't work, my best friend told me she might be pregnant, etc.

I put my feelings out in letter format- 5 pages. I'm not going to give it to her but I want to talk to her. See, she's not my teacher this year but she will be next year... she helped me when my bff was really in trouble. I went to her class and we talked. At the end I thanked her and told her that she means a lot to me. The counselor, who doesn't know I have a crush, says wait it out this summer before I have her class again.

I might see this teacher tomorrow/next day and I want to see her again, but I'm not sure why I should talk to her . The letter was badly written but I mean 5pgs. can I explain some of the stuff I'm feeling to her in person? Should I wait another year, wait until I'm out of school, or what? The letter said I thanked her for everything, told her that with my mom I couldn't properly run the meetings, I thought she hated me because of the meetings, I care about her and gave some anecdotes of what really happened. I needed her, she was there for me last year, but this year was busy and cold. I don't know if she likes me or what. I want to talk to her, but I already did so I see no reason to. I merely mentioned my friend's problem, not my feelings. Thanks!

tennisstar88 agony auntI'm with the other answer..just tell your teacher "thank you" for being there for you when you didn't have anyone.

Also, DO NOT tell her you have a crush on her. She doesn't reciprocate. You are a child and she is an adult. It is illegal for you to have a relationship with your teacher. She could get fired, even go to jail. I'm sure you don't want that to happen to your teacher.

that was confusing :$

sorrrry

- you cant tell your teacher you have a crush on her. no. im sorry

- you dont need to give her a five page thank you later

just one day after class say something like i really want to thank you for everything & how youve been there for me, it means a lot .
