She won't cooperate in getting the divorce finalized in my country too

Question - (28 July 2013) 2 Answers - (Newest, 29 July 2013)
A male Pakistan age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I think I have posted many times about my American wife who came to Pakistan and after six months wanted a divorce. Few days back, US state superior court gave her divorce as she hired a very skilled attorney . Despite marriage happened in Pakistan, she got divorce in US. She is holding my birth certificate , original copy , and does not seem to be ready to send it back. Also, whenever, I contacted her through internet from another facebook ID to send me birth certificate , she ignores me and block that ID of mine. I want her to sign divorce paper for Pakistan as well so that she could get it from here and I also become divorcee for Pakistani law but for that request too , she is not responding. She has screwed my and my family reputation. I can't get over this thing and would appreciate you people to tell me that what to do? She divorced me for small reason like I expressed my opinion about her reading her ex Boyfriend on Facebook and that's it. I'm not trying getting back into her life as in Islam once you divorce someone you can't marry that person again.

I think you had bigger problems than her reading her ex boyfriend's Facebook posts.

Maybe you could hire an attorney as well and get this all sorted through the law. That will then mean that you would not need to speak to her through Facebook. I think getting an attorney will be the quickest and simplest way to deal with all of this. I can imagine that you would want to deal with all of this as quickly as possible to help repair both yours and your family’s reputation.

Good luck and keep me updated.
