She assures me she's not with me on the rebound... what do you guys think?

Soo... ive been hanging out with this girl for a while now and when we started hanging out she had a boyfriend... there was a lot of tension between me and her in which we really like each other and have for a couple years.. and at the same time she was unhappy with her boyfriend for quite a long time... well needless to say things happend and they are no longer together.. and we have been spending a lot of time together.. from what i gather it looks good right now im just a little apprehensive right now.. weve talked and shes assured me that im no sort of rebound or anything of that nature... we seem to really click and just get along great... just would like to hear any advice or what others may think.. i don't have many people to talk to about this i don't want to over analyze anything here or make a mistake and skrew something that could be good up..
