writes:We traveled far to his 50th class reunion. His ex greeted him very affectionally.They were talking as I came up and my husband never introduced me to her or anyone else. She shoved a photo of them and said she was infatuated with my husband.At the photo she had him sitting next to her, then she grabbed his hand entertwined and rested them on her thigh. They were the only ones who held hands! At closing she came across the room and blurted loudly over our table conversation, "Thank you for letting me kiss your husband." I was pissed, humilated and hurt. What was my husband thinking? He ignored me with her and we've had some ugly fights. This is not us. Please need insightful input.Thanks

 I know it is 50 years later and it seems impossible, but sometimes when people reconnect with a first love, they do weird things. I am not giving your husband a pass on this, however. It was rude and he hurt you. However, there may be some brain chemistry things that could explain his behavior.
Some people are imprinted by their first loves, especially if they fall for them during the teenage years, when hormones are raging. Sometimes those feelings lie dormant and are unleashed when the first loves meet again. They start acting like crazy teenagers. It's annoying as hell to those around them, but they are actually getting a dopamine rush. Since they haven't felt those feelings in a very long time, it's exhilarating. They ignore those around them and act pretty obnoxious.
That being said, he should have apologized to you when he came to his senses.

 Err, I woulds sit him down calmly and ask him to explain it to you.
Sounds like she still has the hots for him or maybe doesn't have a life herself.
Did he think it was ok? Was it really jsut a kiss on the cheek and SHE made it into something else to hurt you?
