The hymen is a thin membrane located in the vagina, near the entrance, which stretches across the tube formed by the vagina. Its size and shape and the amount of the opening it covers varies from woman to woman. No one woman looks exactly like another.
Have you had no sex education at all?

reader, anonymous, writes (21 July 2009): Satindesire, I think it's perfectly plausible that a guy could reach the age of thirty and not have managed to have sex with a woman, or watched porn, without needing to be a monk or have taken a vow of chastity. 'Involuntary celibacy' isn't an invention, it's a fact for millions of people. I know what a hymen is, but I don't recall ever being taught about it at school. The poster is a virgin, that doesn't make him a freak.
