Prego? Or too much sex caused damage?

Question - (25 February 2009) 5 Answers - (Newest, 25 February 2009)
A female United Kingdom age 18-21, anonymous writes:

The weekend before last I stayed at my boyfriends house over night, and because this rarely happens we slept together 10 times over the period. 3 times with protection, 7 times without. We also had unprotected sex the weekend before. My period was due the weekend just passed, and never came. I've also been noticing pain in my lower stomach, which is a weird sort of cramp feeling. I'm really worried that i've either A) got pregnant or B) caused some internal damage from having sex so many times within a short period of time. But could this be possible? As I would have thought that there would be no symptoms so early on in a pregnancy. With regards to the pain, nothing hurt at all during sex. I really don't know what to do, and I don't want to freak my boyfriend out over nothing.

You have had unprotected sex multiple times and now your period is late. Take a pregnancy test immediately. If you are pregnant the sooner you know about it the better. As for the pain, it could be period pain if you’re not pregnant and your periods just late, a sign of an STI or just wind! You need to get to a doctor to get to the bottom of it if it doesn’t go away.

You should definately go and either see a doctor or take a home pregnancy test?

The only other thing I can say is to click on the link below- http://www.ivillage.co.uk/pregnancyandbaby/tools/ovucal/

If you have regular periods usually, this will help you calculate how fertile you would have been last weekend. At some points during the menstrual cycle there are times when a woman is very unlikely to get pregnant, one of these times being whilst you are on your period. Look into menstrual cycles on google and you'll find loads of info about fertility, just be careful what sources you use!

Also, if you still haven't had a period in the next few days. just take a test anyway they are only about £4/$8 from your pharmacy.

Just remember that you CAN still get pregnant at any time of the month, it is just less likely/ very unlikely.

Let me know how it goes, feel free to mail me if you want any more help.

Good luck! xx
