A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Hey some help here would be appreciated please. Could you just please explain to me why this lad that i was good friends with is behaving this way. We were good friends and stuff and i've always liked him think he liked me too because of how he acted and things people said however one minute hes fine and the next es saying he doesn't like me. Tbh i don't see why because he seems to find it hard to talk to me when our friends from college are there and things, maybe they pick on him i dont know.

Whereas everyones saying its sad because of whats happened in the past betwen me and him and we should be together, we have the same interests, like going to gigs together (however since being with her hes not doing that as much), go the same sense of humor, into the same things etc. We're so alike its unreal and i respect him for what he belives in and stuff and itnerested in his career where shes the total opposite and in a way yes she likes him but we thing she wants the attention and in a way hes not who he used to be and everyone says it woulnd't work between them and its stupid because they're too different.

It jsut hurts me all of this..i dont wanna focus on someone else becuase ive never ever wnated a bf and i need to get over this! I don't wana lose him but i cant even descibe what its done to me. Its so sad because we're just so alike and hes my dream that got shattered!

A female reader, Jendorset United Kingdom +, writes (4 July 2009):

He and his girlfriend maybe completely diffrent but sometimes that works. Me and my boyfriend are two completely diffrent people, we have different views on a lot of things and we have been together for 4 years so far. I think if this guy wanted you then he would be with you. You just have to accept that he is withone else and find someone new for you.
