A female India age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Hi all, I am facing a weird problem since a few weeks. I am in a relationship for a few months now. The man I am with is much of a texter, doesn’t call much. I communicated that I prefer and love being called everyday, so both of us took turns. Now all of a sudden he’s stopped calling me again - I told him that it feels weird if I call him all the time, to which he said it didn’t matter as we both are talking and after delving deep he told me that he avoids calls as he has to be on client calls most of the day and it makes his head ache. He will try calling him on his own from next month when he gets a job change. I was convinced with this, I am the one who still calls him although he initiates texting. We meet twice a week or so. Additionally he told me he likes it when I make plans or ask him out (he also asks me out).

I was pretty chill until it has been two days we didn’t talk to each other (he’s been busy with work and his weekly schedule of meeting friends, which is okay) but still keeping in touch via texts. Also when we used to talk about our pasts, he mentioned that in earlier relationships he used to talk to his exes once in 3-4 days!! Does he lack commitment towards me or can a guy be like this?

(There is also something that I would like to add- we met via a dating app, I found a text on his phone from a girl from the same app, to which he said he doesn’t talk much and said he had blocked her on Whatsapp as it was creating problems. Two weeks later I found the girl on Instagram on his follower and following list and requested him to block her, which he eventually did. Could this have a part to play? He’s not double-timing me I am sure, but could he be still texting this girl behind my back? )
