A female reader, Country Woman United Kingdom +, writes (14 September 2008):

Country Woman agony auntSeems to me sweetheart that this is could be to do with the girl that Austin danced with and then briefly went out with.

I wonder if Bryce liked her and didn't like the way Austin was so dismissive of her, either that or he really didn't like the fact that attention and his best mate were taken away from him briefly and he is conscious that this could happen in the future if Austin gets another girlfriend.

On the other hand do either one of these friends have feelings for you at all? Perhaps it could be linked around them liking the same female or something, just a suggestion.

The only other thing to do is get them both together and sit down with them and say right it is about time I found out what is bugging the two of you as this is hell for me right now, you are both my best friend's and I can't stand to see you both behaving like this, surely there is something that can be done to resolve this argument, try and get it out in the open, either that or tell them both face to face that unless they resolve their differences you won't spend time with either one of them and you don't want to do that but you cannot be piggy in the middle anymore as it is killing you to see 2 very good friends hating one another for some unknown reason.

Wish you well and keep us posted eh!
