Friends are people who will stand up for you & not bring you down... they are the kind of people who make you feel good when you are around them...she is toxic for you & does not deserve to be called your friend.

 I guess you should just look around for a friend that doesn't bug you so much. If she asks you why you aren't hanging out with her anymore then you could tell what you just wrote here in the column. Maybe if she values your friendship she'll change her behavior. Good Luck!

 I think the pair of you may be in a slightly competative relationship. You don't sound as tho you particularly like this friend, have you thought about maybe easing up on your relationship with her and spending a little more time with people you do like?
Tell her if you think it will be productive, but be prepared for a break in the friendship, as I think she will be very upset.
