In the past 3 times that my husband and I have had sex, his penis starts off hard but than it goes down- he tries to get it hard, and sometimes it does but once he goes inside of me, it goes down again.

We never had this problem before, we where always very sexual with one another but for some reason, this month (march) all this started and I dont know what to do?

I wonder if is me but he saids is not and that he is turned on by me but that he cant understand either why this is happening.

Fatherly Advice agony auntOverall the first thing to know is that Erectile Dysfunction can happen to any man. It can be caused by emotional problems. It can be caused by health problems. It can be caused by stress. There is no reason not to believe your husband when he says it is not you. Try to remember that he is as frustrated by this as you are. And embarrassed too. You may want to try some other methods for a while so you both get your needs met in a nonthreatining low stress way. But, don't put off getting to a doctor.

Most of the reason that a prescription is required for Erectile dysfunction drugs is because some of the causes of dysfunction are serious health problems. Kind of forces you to get into the Doc. The drugs do work great. They are expensive so shop around. Talk to the Doctor about all the options. Many couples prefer Cialis because then your encounters don't have to be so scheduled. There is also Viagra and Levitra. If your husband is too embarrassed to go on his own make the appointment with him and go with him. This is important enough to your relationship and his health to put in the extra effort.

Best wishes from a fellow sufferer.

Could be the economy. Hows his portfolio doing?

Mine's got me stressed. It's definitely not you so don't worry. Try not to make a big deal of it and spend some more time on foreplay. Next time it happens just sit on his face or something and tell him your gonna get off regardless. This will probably give him a raging stiffy. Just switch things up and keep in light and non serious in the bdroom. Unless it's a physical health issue he should bounce back in no time.

A reader, anonymous, writes (30 March 2009):

It can be a sign of other health problems, uncontrolled diabetes, prostrate, poor vascular health, and other things, so it is important to have him checked by a doctor.

Try not to let it affect you personally I know that is easier said than done, especially if he is resistant to going to the doctor like a lot of men are, but tell him it could mean something else is wrong and you want him to get checked.

Sometimes it can be psychological, like stress, but that should subside when he feels better....but if he gets embarassed or feels bad about his problem, if left untreated it can become sort of a vicious cycle.
