My girlfriend always has an excuse to not hang out on weekends...

Question - (8 February 2011) 1 Answers - (Newest, 9 February 2011)
A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I've been going out with this girl for about 2 weeks now. We both like each other a lot and we flirt. Everything seems so perfect when I see her at school.

But when it comes to me asking her if she can hang out over the weekend, she always comes up with an excuse.

She knows that I can't hang with her on the weekdays because I work after school everyday, and she claims to "be busy over the weekdays". I'll try to make plans with her and she'll say that "her mom will only let her hang out at her best friends house". To be honest I think any other girl out there would lie to their parent just to hang out with their boyfriend.

Like I said everything is going perfect during school. This is really upsetting to me that she doesnt want to be with me.

I figured that she may be nervous to hang out with me? Doesn't want to make a mistake when shes alone with me? I have no idea. I've never dealt with this before.

Please help DC!

You've only been dating a couple weeks? So two or three weekends? Don't be hurt buddy, maybe she is just getting to know you at school so she can be more comfortable hanging out with you alone at your house or hers(besides parents and siblings of course)

Don't take it personally, if that is the case. But for me it would be nerve racking if someone I've just made friends with came over so quickly.
