writes:Hi I have a wee problem hope u can all help. Basicaly I havent heard from my gf in nearly a week, this however is not a rare occurance as she doesnt really text that much. i have text her everyday the last week but still havent heard from her. I have known her for nearly 7 years but only been dating for 6 months and we do only see each other once every week or so due to our work commitments but when we are together things are great and if i do ask if everythings ok between us she says yea everythings fine why wouldnt it be. She has told me erself she isnt an emotiional person and she doesnt text alot as she forgets to text back and this isnt just with me she takes a week etc to get in touch with her family.Basically i love this girl with all my heart and i cant see her ending a six year friendship for something she didnt think would last. when we were last out she was talking about meeting each others parents etcshouldi be worried or am i over reacting again ?Help would be greatly appreciated

 Hmm that seems a bit odd, but if she's just a distant person in general, it could be normal for her. Have you tried actually calling instead of texting?

reader, anonymous, writes (20 March 2011): Hmmm the transition from friend to boyfriend hasn't quite registered with her has it? Maybe she still sees you as a friend which is why she doesn't text or make the effort to keep in touch. I don't text friends everyday but I do text my boyfriend everyday. Sounds to me like she doesn't see you as a real boyfriend. If she did, believe me she would make the effort.
