reader, anonymous, writes (19 December 2007): OK, I understand why you had to tell your friends about it. Perhaps they were more disgusted about your boyfriend kind of forcing you to do it. I personally don't see any reason to do anal sex, except to just find out what it is like. However, if both partners like it then I see no real problem with doing it. If one partner doesn't then it should be off limits. It is one part of sex that is probably better to fantasize about than to actually do. As long as you are OK, I wouldn't worry about it and don't do it again if you don't want to.

Make sure you use a condom and make sure that your boyfriend changes the condom between anal and vaginal intercourse if you do both. And why did you even tell your friends about what you did? That should be betwen you and your boyfriend.

I think some other answers made the very good point that; in most cases, people are either completely for or against anal sex. You're friends obviously are against it, and hence, they were really shocked to find out their close friend had done it, before having proper intercourse no less.
It may be hard for you to think about now, because you are in the situation you're in, but put yourself in your friends position. I find it doubtful they were ever going to take the news you were giving them without their jaws dropping, or their eyes peeking out of their sockets.
What it comes down to is that it's all a matter of opinion. The fact is some people think anal sex is wrong, and they are entitled to their opinion no matter how good friends you are with them. You have to respect the fact that they have been honest with you, and have told you they don't approve of your actions. I'm sure if they are good friends, they will keep this information within the circle, and continue to be your friend.
Don't let a difference of opinion ruin your friendship.

On why your freinds were shocked, yeah some properly didn't like the thought and the fact you haven't even had sexual intercource the normal way, I have no ideal why you went the even more painful route your age but I can totally understand your freind reaction "My first time was up the butt!"

I think anal sex is something people have, generally, extreme reactions to. They either seem to be really for, or really against it. Personally, I would never do it. That hole is purely an exit, and thinking what comes out of there is offputting enough, I couldn't feel sexy having anal sex.
But then they say you shouldn't knock it til you try it!
