I have a biggest problem in my life. I'm a pretty girl but my friends tell me that I look like a boy. So guys in university weren't interested in me because they believe that I'm a boy. Some friends told me I should change hair style from short-hair to long-hair. But I like short hair!! What should I do to make people understand that I'm a pretty girl ?!!

Ignore your friend's petty comments-maybe you need to ask yourself why they are this way? Genuine friends don't make comments like this..they love and accept you just the way you are. The most important thing is is that you accept yourself-looks and all. Good for you! You are confident and self assured..which is a wonderful & a healthy way to be. Too many other lovely girls often tend to compare

themselves unfavourably to others and end up feeling miserable.

Your external looks should never overshadow other plus points you have such as: compassion for others, givingness, poise, confidence, grace, and personalty.

Keep being pleasant and cheerful, just be you! And as for the hair..I have seen some very beautiful women who wear their hair short. Granted, not everyone suits hair short. Why conform to the norm and have long hair like all your friends..short hair is cute and sassy! Perhaps they see this cuteness in you and are a tad bit envious? lol Go for it, girl...enjoy life and keep being your happy self..short hair and all! Hugs, Irish

Dear Reader,

First and foremost it sounds as though you have answered your own question. You clearly state that your are a pretty girl and are happy with your hair style so I doubt that you have any self-esteem issues. It sounds to me that it's your peers that have the issues - probably jealousy. My advice to you is to hold on to that positive self image as it is this that will attract Mr Right - not the length of your hair. - Good Luck!

My answer to this is beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. everytime you look at yourself tell yourself that you are unigue and simply the best, you are different to others.what we should always know is that people will always have somethimg to talk about, how we look but accept the way you are and be happy about it,because you will keep on changing yourself image and you will end up regreting it so be yourself.

If you dont alredy do so, try to wear more femionine clothes and act in a feminine manner.

There is nothing wrong with short hair, ask your hairdreser if she could show you a few different styles for short hair and try some of those out.

Dont worry what other people think of you.
