I have had a friend for a long time. She copied my son's room and my wall design. I mention doing online college and she signed up. I done my bedroom in jungle design and she buys a palm tree to go in hers. I marry a hispanic guy and now she is friends with one and eats jalapeno peppers. I put up a white Christmas tree for years but for years have not put one up, and now she is selling hers so that she can get a white one. I think that there is a fine line between flattery and jealousy and I am questioning wheather she is my friend or not. I think that someone who sits around to see what you do next is nothing less than a jealous user. I have no-one but her at this time and she flaunts that. I think that she is a materialistic &^%#@ and also I feel that she is thousands of dollars in debt because she is spoiled and cannot stop shopping. I choose to do without and she is always pleased that she has more than me until we talk about finances and then she becomes defensive. I say dump them like I am about to do.

I know how you feel! I have a friend who copies me non stop. But whats worst is that she not only copies me, but she trys to claim the things she copies as her own ideas!! So everyone in our friendship circle thinks shes so good and original etc...when shes not really. Sometimes people will comment on how similar we are, and she will always say that I copy her. When I dont!

She copies everything. From my hair style, fashion sense, music taste, ideas for assignments at uni, and even my personality. She will also steal stories that I tell her about my life and claim them as her own! And she even tries to 'steal' my friends.

So how to deal? Well im not entirely sure as I am still going through that problem. But what i find helps is standing up for myself when my friend tries to accuse me of copying her when it is the other way around.

maybe some other aunts/uncles can give you beter advice that you and i can both learn from!
