A female United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I have a very good friend but I think she has an eating problem. She starves all day and is below size 4 in clothes size, she has two young kids below 2. She also has a boyfriend, whenever he gets in from work she starts an argument and is constantly shouting at him and in front of the kids, he now has had enough and has walked out. The thing is he is my brother in law and his partner is a very good friend. I don't want to get involved as they are very dear to me and I tend to stay out of people's problems. Please help me as my brother in law is concerned for his kids. My friend is a good mum but with not eating I'm scared she will pass out and I'm worried about the kids in case it happens, which I can see she is heading that way. Please help. Vicky
