A female United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

My friend fancies her next door neighbour, they went on a date last weekend. This happened after weeks of flirting and her not knowing where she stands, he says he is shy and seems to find it difficult to approach her. After bumping into him in a pub, I told him she liked him; he took her out the following night. However, they hit it off really well, stayed out till late. They went back to his and had a real laugh. But at the end of the night there was no mention of going out again, not even a kiss goodnight. To me he comes across as a real gent, but is he interested?. I dont want my friend to get hurt.

nologo agony auntI have a strange feeling that this question is made up, but anyway I will answer to it.

Speaking about who is interested, I guess YOU are interested.

You told him she liked him, and this explains why he took her out the following night.

How do you know that "they hit it off really well" by the way?

There was no mention of going out again, because dating is not a top priority for both of them.
