writes:Alright so I'm looking for advice as to what to do here.My folks think I am gay, I'm not sure why, but it's gotten pretty irritating.They haven't come right out and said it, but I can tell they think it.I came home a couple weeks ago with a hickey I got from a girl at a party, and since I told them I was going to my friends house instead of telling them I was going to a party, they assumed that he gave me the hickey because I don't have a girlfriend, and they don't understand the concept of a one night stand.Anyways, the other night I was talking about one of my buddies doing some stupid and my mother asked "so why would you hook up with him then?"... It's gotten really annoying, any advice what I can do here?

 Sit them down and talk to them about it seriously. If I were you, I would say exactly this:
"Mom, Dad... I have the feeling that you might think I'm gay. Well, I just wanted to let you know that I'm not. I got a hickey from a girl, it was a one night stand. I like women. So if you had any questions in your minds, I just want to answer them now. I'm not gay. Okay?"
Make it very clear. I'm sure if you were gay, they'd love you just the same, but I can totally understand if they assume you are and you aren't and that's driving you crazy. Make it CLEAR.

 Im sure your parents don't think you are gay, if they do then they surely won't when you bring home a girlfriend. Also you could tell them it was a girl that gave you that hickey and not a guy. Also don't you have pictures of girls on your wall. When i was your age i had pictures of Pamela Anderson and Melinda Messenger all over my wardrobe doors. Get a few babes on your wall, then im sure they won't think you are gay anymore.
