I am a 23 year old girl and my friend is 20 years old.

She told me she has recently got engaged to a 68-year-old man she met in a pub at a karaoke contest - he is the owner of it, and that he is a decent person, was what she told me.

She asked me what problems would she would face as a result of the age gap if they did get married - what are they??

The man is wealthy, but she doesn't know that.

Advice appreciated

Danielle

Some one is either playing or didn't like the excellent advice they received last time.

YummyMummy agony auntSounds like she does know about the money! I could be wrong there but being 21 myself I can't see what a 68 year old man would have to offer a young lady.

The only problems I can see are old age setting in with the man being the age he is and your friend wanting to be young and care free, sex although he may still be active in that department.

I would sit down with your friend and ask her does she know what she's doing. If it is just money this guy could live to be over 100... that's over 30 years with him! Or she may find herself becoming a full time carer for him as he gets older. Not much fun for someone who is only 20!

I hope it doesn't sound like I'm judging your friend as I don't know her.

of course a very young lady like your friend will want to be engaged to be married to an old wealthy guy! the reason is due to the wealth, money, and riches this guy has. there's no love, it's all about the money!!!!

well that is just wrong the age difference will become obvious when he gets a bit older and she has to spend all day every day looking after him and she wont have much time for a social life.so now it seems ok think bout 10 years down the line when he is 80 and she is 30 sounds a bit scary to me
