A female New Zealand age 41-50, anonymous writes:

Hello all

My boyfriend died a couple of years ago and i have never really got over him, i met a man in june this year who took an interest in me, saying that he would help me get over my boyfriend's death, and that he would look after me and show me a good time, he is married, and at first everything was alright, i just went along with it as i have nobody else, we have only ever kissed which worries me that we have done no more, he told me that if he had the money he would move out of his house, i think his wife knows about us but he has denied it and says i am being silly, because of work we have not seen each other for 6 weeks, he keeps on texting me telling me that he misses me, but when i try to see him he makes excuses not to see me and tells me he will phone but then he does not, and i end up phoning him but he wont answer my calls, is it usual not to sleep together.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (26 November 2009):

Sorry to hear about your boyfriend passing away, BUT, grief is not an excuse for trying to screw someone elses husband, though it is typical of a married guy to sleaze on to someone who is emotionally vulnerable. Let the thing with the married guy go. If he divorces his wife, go for it, but it sounds more like he is just sniffing around for a bit of casual sex. That's why he's backed off, you were becoming a burden by taking him too seriously.

Danielepew agony auntI am afraid that you will end up hurt. I think he's giving excuses, and that can't be good. And it isn't good that you're seeing him either. Not only morally, but also from a point of view of convenience. You can get someone who is free and won't give you any of these problems.
