I have noticed that after a break up a lot of people say start the gym to boost confidence and better oneself etc. The thing is though that if you do go the gym and get a good body and attract loads of girls/guys are they not just attracted to you for your body would it not be better just to generally look after your body to find somebody that will like you for how you are as opposed to how nice your six pack is?

I had a break up a few months ago but if I became gym obsessed but looked amazing so therefore attracted lots of girls is that just not a shallow endeavour? Does it not then put pressure on yourself, I would much rather somebody be attracted to my personality than to my big arms, just interested on peoples thoughts on this. Also I see that girls go for the guys with a good body but often resent the time they spend at the gym, whats that about? Thanks in advance for your opinions

Honestly going to the gym after a bad break up is like releasing your stress too aside from the fact that it will help you to get that perfect shape you aim for.

Your mind will be occupied with something else.

Like your body is sweating, your seeing other people working out, and its better than staying home, crying and making your self crazy.

Releasing stress and aiming to look better is never a shallow idea. You know why? because when you release your stress in a healthy way, your brain will function well, when your brain function well, it helps to control your feelings, your emotions.

Then the brain helps to heal your broken heart.

When your no longer emotional, you look a lot better.

And when you look better it means your physically healthy.

That's why its advisable for someone who is trying to mend a broken heart to go to the gym and work out, for that purpose.

TrancedRhythmEar agony auntDude ur overthinking this. Bottom line is this if you want a beautiful woman u too must reciprocate with body n mind. Very rarely will u find a woman who will make exception. Women desire a leader someone in better shape someone with stronger qualities than them so they feel secure n confident.
