A male United Kingdom age 41-50, *9ways writes:

We were engaged and together for 4,5 years.

bad break up as she left me because she loves me but feels cold she said.

2 months since we broke up and next month is her birthday.

Will travel 3000 miles to give her flowers and tell her i love her still.

Is this romantic.....will she appreciate this?

No, you are pushing her away. Ignore her and she may make contact. Don't travel all that way. Communicate by e-mail or telephone. I would try to move on if i was you.

It would be a lovely thing if she still has feelings for you but she might just wonder why you are doing it. Is it to get back together? If you two are 'over' it won't be romantic, it might just be embarrassing. Are you really over her and just still care enough to travel such a distance. What if she has met someone else. I would just send a lovely card and message and leave it at that. You could end up out of pocket and wasting your time otherwise.

No, I don't think she will, she broke up with you to her it's over, the last thing she wants is for you to turn up on her birthday, with flowers.

When someone says, I love you but.... when they are breaking up with you, they are trying to be gentle with you.

If I was you I would find someone you don't have travel 3000 to see.
