Well this is kind of embarassing, so if you are your not going to be nice about it just don't say anything, otherwise thanks for taking your time to read this.

Well i am a teenage girl, and like a lot of teenage girls i masturbate, one problem though.

I can't seem to get much pleasure out of it? I do get a little tingleing sensation but that really is it, i don't orgasm or anything, i was just kind of wondering is this normal?

I am sexually active, and i know about all the womens "sensitive" spots, and how you have to stimulate one part in order to make the next part pleasurable if you get my jist. So i am pretty sure i'm doing all the right things and i was just wondeirng is this normal, and is their anything that can be done?

A reader, anonymous, writes (26 September 2011):

Possibly you just need to find the right spot for you. It is different for every woman. We're not as lucky as the guys who have it right there in front of their faces, so to speak.

Also, make sure your mind is focused on something you find exciting. If you start to lose interest in that, change it up, start coming up with things that get you excited. A great deal of a woman's orgasm and enjoyment is in the mind, not just the touching.

shrodingerscat agony auntYou can say the correct names for your body parts on this site without worrying about embarassing anyone. Words like Clitoris, Labia, and Vagina are okay to say. So don't worry about mincing words or walking around them for the sake of "modesty", please. :-)

Most women take between 10-45 minutes to reach orgasm, and most women need direct clitoral stimulation in order to orgasm. That being said, some women can orgasm through just thinking/fantasizing, some can orgasm when kissing or just through nipple stimulation. There is no "normal" when it comes to female orgasms, just "average".

Be persistent. Women have to "learn" how to orgasm.
