writes:is this a sign of flirting, quite confused?!there is this female whom i go to work with. we talked a couple times regarding my concerns. just every once in a while she will be gazing or looking at me for quite a long time, lets say a little more than 4 seconds and i caught her looking at me when i was talking to my friend. she is always looking at me first. not a mean look probably a smile mixed with a normal look, altho not sure at the moment. somtimes she will walk by me and not even look at me, she just looks down or looks at what she has on her hand when i see her or look at her. what is she trying to do?

 OMG I do that with the guy im into... look down at my cellphone when I'm walking by him to make it seem like Im busy cuz he makes me so gosh darn nervous...But yeah looking at you afar and into your eyes is a good sign...Why not try asking her out to coffee? nothing wrong with some innocent coffee and the worst that could happen is she could say no...but you wont be wondering anymore...

 she may admire you rather than fancy you. she could be envious or jealous. speak to her but do not imply you think she fancies you, it'll be awkward. just take an interest in her, ask her about her likes, boyfriends... she might just want you to be her friens. good luck

reader, anonymous, writes (14 September 2007): Looking at you signifies interest, however, I don't think she is flirting with you as she has not spoken to you and walks by without looking at you....sounds like you have a bit of a crush....be careful, work place romances are not always allowed, and can be messy and make it difficult to maintain your job especially if it all goes sour.
