A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

My mother is 45 and pregnant, i am 22. I am so excited to have a baby in our family again after those years but is my life going to change completely? I need help, will i be baby sitting forever and wont be able to live my own life i am worried, even my mother was when she knew she was pregnant, she was worried about how the baby is going to be taken care of since we all work in our house and i am the youngest. I am also worried about the age difference and how the child is going to seem like its mine, even though it will be my sibling.

C. Grant agony auntJust be sure to set boundaries. You'll want to help out, of course, but the baby can only take over your life if you allow it to happen. Set reasonable limits on how much of your time your family can have, and be firm about keeping a life of your own. After all, you didn't choose to have a baby.
