Is he leading me on just until his girl comes to this state? Or do you think he wants to make sure I'm worth breaking up with this other girl for?

A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Alright. I've been talking to this guy for a week. We both kind gave eachother these kind of vibes and so I finally got the nerve to ask him out. He has a girlfriend that he's been seeing for 3 weeks. She lives in a different state and is not coming to our state until like June.

He says they only met once and started dating right away. He says they've never kissed or done anything and things are moving at a snail's pace.

He knows how I feel about him and he was suprised because I'm younger and "gorgeous" and "could have any guy I want".

He told me he wants to keep talking and getting to know eachother. So we talk all the time and he always wants to meet up and talk for a little bit.

The problem is that he had dated a girl my age in the past and she cheated on him and treated him badly so he's scared about that. (He already confessed I'm nothing like that girl).

My question is.. What should I do? Is he leading me on just until his girl comes to this state? Or do you think he wants to make sure I'm worth breaking up with this other girl for? I know it seems wrong, but I really like this guy, he's a good guy.

I don't know much about you people but from my experience I can say my ex said the same thing when he wanted to win over and I never gave it the thought of not believing him.Later it ended from his end.I don't know whether its his trait or not, try to understand him more and his feelings is serious or not before you confess anything.Secondly if he wants to break up ,he can break up without you and he must not do it only if you are into him.Just indicate him to take a rational decision and try to avoid if he is not taking one, then go along with it but be cautious at first.
