Is he flirting? Or just being nice? Or trying to get my attention? I'm confused by it all.

A female Australia age 41-50, *unnamuck writes:

I've recently, at work, met this guy who I'm starting to fall for.

Being rather shy, when it comes to dating guys, I fear rejection. This guy seems rather shy too!! ..

So I was wondering, how can you tell if a guy likes you ..I'm not too sure if he likes me or not , I was wondering if anyone can help me out ?

What does it mean when a guy says "there's your boyfriend " to someone who really isn't, and who he knows isn't my boyfriend ??

Is he just saying that to get an idea if I'm single ?? Is him calling me 'princess' and stuff, as a hint to me? and why is he always coming up to me, and moving my stuff away from me? Does this all mean he's being all flirty, to get my attention or what? ..

He also likes to pick on me but in a nice kind of way ??...

Also if he's talking about sex and stuff around me, is that also something .. Does that mean he's comfortable with me ??

I need some light onto what this is because I don't want to make a fool out of my self, if he's just being nice ??

A male reader, krit India +, writes (17 April 2011):

krit agony auntThese kind of things happen in every day life so I think he's just being nice. But if u like him then flirt with him, give an occasional glance and a smile and then see what happens. There's nothing to be ashamed off, use your femine charm to get him. If he does not like you enough then also he would be flattered by your attention. So if things won't work out well then also you can go Back to being Friends.
