He's a truthful and straight forward person so I don't really doubt his words so much. I have a feeling that he's ashame of me or some unknown reason that he doesn't want any of his friends to know anything about us hanging out, hugging, kissing or anything at all. He said he likes me but he also want to be with his friends. To me he just seems like a player. I'm not sure how much I could trust him and I don't want my feelings for him to grow.

Perhaps you could ask him to explain you WHY you are supposed to be a secret, but, at your age, I wouldn't even bother. Next !

On the other hand, if you don't trust him, maybe it's best to stay away from him.
