reader, anonymous, writes (25 February 2008): You are way too young, just what is the hurry, you have years ahead of you to do all of these adult things so stop the rush right now. if you were my daughter i wouldnt let you date until you were 15-16. By then your body and mind are much more developed and able to cope, but more importantly you should be enjoying your childhood and stop all this adult stuff.

 Go for it, I say. just dont jump in the deep end too soon and think your in love strait away or you will end up sorry and hurt. I would not like the idea of my daughter "having it off" at 13 but when I think back. It was about that same time for me.

I would say that 13 is too young to do adult things ie sex as your body is still developing internally. I would say you could do fun activities together like going to the movies during the day on the weekend, and maybe even inviting him to family outings with you. Enjoy your time being a virgin because it is the most precious time in your life.

reader, anonymous, writes (25 February 2008): from personal experience, i feel 13 is too young to date, especially if you're not too sure on the guy.i just remember the guys i 'dated' when i was your age and i look back now and am sooo embarrassed!
but if you do really like this guy, go for it, just take it slowly, going too far with a boy is something you'll regret forever.

 well hun no i dont think that you're too young to be spending time with other guys, but there is a limit. just make sure you remember how old you are, and dont take things too far with him. also, if you dont really like this guy, then dont feel like you have to go out with him hun, it would only be leading him on and that would lead to an argument you know?!! but 13 is a fine age to be dating, just within reason (ie sex etc)!!good luck xxx
