i suggest you learn from it bro, cause i may be a few years younger than you but i know how you feel right now, i m going through the same thing and i've got it even worse than you......but dont fight back, it's their job tyo act the way they do...and you shouldn't be mad because you're 17 and in a year or so, you'll be off on your own...and i hope you consider everything denny said, because it could really help you out in life

reader, anonymous, writes (29 March 2009): It's coz he's your dad and he cares. When you get older, you will understand and appreciate him for it. Have a chat with him, and ask him to trust you more and give examples on how you are a responsible good 17yr old.

You can stop using phrases like "I hate him!" just because you have a minor argument with him. It makes you sound like a 10 year old.
If you turned your phone off then what was he supposed to think? You say it was to have a little fun, but if it was a little fun then you would have been capable of talking to your father during it.
You were up to something dodgy. You got caught.
Stop blaming your dad. As an adult, you have to take responsibility for your actions and apologise when you are in the wrong.
