Hey Aunts and Uncles, I could really do with your help here! I've been trying for about 2 months now to lose weight. This is going to sound silly, but I feel like my abdomen (i think it is) sticks out too much, and everyone else seems to have such a flat stomach. Nothing else really is fat, apart from a little under my arms and a bit on my thighs.

I've tried cutting down on fatty foods, but that didn't seem to make a lot of difference.

I do as much walking as I can.

But I'm looking for exercises I can do at home. Maybe yoga type moves? I don't have a lot of money so i can't buy an exercise machine or anything..

Any contribution at all would be really helpful, as I've started to cut myself coz i feel so fat that i don't deserve to be happy, or even live... I'm 16 and about 9 and a half stone.

Please please help me, please..

Thank you so much in advance xx

Just so you know, you are the average weight for a girl your age and you don't have to lose weight at all but if you're really upset about it you could do some pillates, take up a sport you like or even go dancing with your friends. Just to lose that extra bit of fat but don't go crazy, exercising too much just some simple things. If you're self-harming you should really talk to parent, doctor or someone you can trust. I wish you all the luck in the world.

Just to let you know I released 18lbs and 23 inches during my first experience on a nutritional cleansing program and feel fantastic. First thing I lost was my belly!

I am now on maintenance. I was introduced to the system by my mom, and after seeing her results, I wanted to get started right away. She dropped from a size 12 to a size 4 on the program and looks great! And my step dad lost three pant sizes. My mom had a ton of people calling her wanting to get started so they both stepped in to the business, and love it, and I joined in last year.

You said that you are 16 and 9 and a half stone? that sounds fine. I'm 17 and 12 stone and do boxing training three times a week. I think the only way to lose wieght is good exercise such as running and eating healthily, but mainly the exercise in my expirience. Dont feel pressurised to get two thin although your build obviously is important. If you have a stocky build then 9 and a half stone would probably be two light, but if you have an athletic or thin build then you are about on target. If lots of reguler exercise doesnt satisfy you then get a body fat check and prove to yourself that your body is fine. by the way, yoga is harder than it looks and just makes you more flexible. Good luck.

please stop self harming. I did that a few years ago and am now left with scars for life that remind me of a time when everything was bad...who really wants to remember that. As to your stomach problem, every girl has that little bit that sticks out. If you think it's really bad try sit ups, don't push yourself to hard though. Don't see yourself as fat or unworthy. I'm a little over 5ft and weigh 9 n a half stone (10ish stone at that time of the month lol) i don't see myself as fat but i know i'm not stick thin. 2 years ago i weighed 16 stone. Learn to love yourself as you are.

vsnod agony auntI think you are at an age where most people are worried about how they look. But is you are so upset that you are harming yourself, you should find someone you can talk to about it. Harming yourself is never the right way to go. Please stop starving yourself. If you want to be healthy, eat healthy food/go for a run, maybe join a sports team at school.

If you are self harming then you are depressed and so obviously you are not going to see yourself in a good way.

You say your stomach sticks out - everyones' stomach sticks out because their spine curves in and pushes it out. Stand up straight and it will look better.

You say everyone else has a flat stomach - everyone who? How many girls are you seeing naked? If you are talking about models in magazines then know that they are altered by computers - their entire figure gets trimmed - they aren't real. Plus they are probably sucking everything in and holding their breath.

Try doing a new sport as this will help keep you toned, teach you better posture and give you self confidence.

If you are thinking of self harming again then remember that scars are the most unattractive thing of all. Stop and talk to someone instead.

Good Luck!! xx
