I'm scared I could ruin our friendship, should I go for it or hide until my feelings have gone?

So i like my best friend. HE is a guy. We've been friends for a while too. he sits with me and my other friends at lunch, we sit by each other in classes, we switch hoodies(i have a guy one), and we talk all the time. but now i like him but i dont want to ruin our relationship, and i dont know what to do. should i go for it or just hide my feelings till there gone?
