writes:My boyfriend always said that he loves me, that i'm the girl he wants to be forever with but he doesn't want to get married, now i'm pregnant and he still doesn't want to get married. Honestly i feel he's never going to change his mind and i really want to be married at least someday. He still says he loves me and loves my baby but i want a family, i want to be married but in his opinion marriage is stupid. I want to break up with him now, i feel i won't be happy with him although he says he loves me. Should i do it or am i exaggerating? Reply to this Question

reader, anonymous, writes (27 July 2011): You don't say how old your boyfriend is,but if he's as young as you then it doesn't surprise me he won't get married.
Now you are pregnant and expecting his child so you will have that connection (and responsibility) for years to come, no matter what the future holds for you 2 as a couple.
I would stop trying to force him into a wedding he clearly isn't ready or mature enough for and focus on how good a parent you will make, him also.One day he may surprise you, but you have to stop the pressure.
