I'm falling for my teacher. I've never been in love before, is this how it feels?

A female United Kingdom age 26-29, anonymous writes:

I'm 16 and I've recently started college and there's a teacher there who teaches me Drama and at first, I thought 'oh wow, hello'. Like many other teenage girls do when they see some eye candy. That bit, I know is normal.

But as time has gone on and I have got to know him better, I have realised he's funny, kind, sweet and good looking. A total package in my eyes!

Well, I've caught him a couple of times now looking at me like he's in deep thought then he looks away when I catch him and talks to the class as if to cover it up. Today in class, he was doing some explanation and said 'I'm having a conversation with (boys name) and I can't because there's a pretty girl in the room that keeps trying to get my attention and I'm getting distracted by her so I am going to woo her'and gave me a quick glance.I just blushed bright red and I swore he could see me. I feel so embarrassed. I have been late to lesson 3 times and he hasn't said a word to me. Others are late, and he tells them off. He moaned at everyone else for not doing homework, and not me. He makes my heart go all funny and makes my stomache flutter. When I see him, I get a feeling inside, like he's in my head and controlling my emotions. I was out of breath once when I ran abit to not be any later than I was supposed to be for a lesson, and my breath automatically came back to me when he looked me in the eyes.

I've never been in love before, is this how it feels?

My problem is that he's 35, married and has 2 kids.

I've fallen hard for him. I'm locking it away because I don't want to be the next 'big rumour' of the school, or I don't want to loose my friends, or want him to be sacked. Someone help me? It would be nice to have someone who understands where I'm coming from :(

He may... or may not fancy you.

The thing that make things difficult for me to really give you an helpful external advice is that i can't witness these moments. When you tell us that he looked at you when he say "a pretty girl" it could have been because he looked in your way but not exactly YOU. Then again i can be wrong.

Then there's your lateness that he doesn't seem to reprimand. Are you a brilliant student? it might be it but that's not an excuse either. He also could has been more concerned about your lateness.

He is settled which make the possibility of him fancying you even more impossible. You're 16 and he is 35. Alright, there's quite a big difference but not only in the numbers. In the way you see life as well. He has more experience in life than you have.

I know how you feel, i have experimented this situation. But the only thing that you can do, if it becomes really overwhelming, is that you start to question yourself with honesty. You just have to be realist.

this is normal believe me this happend to me as well and it still is.

Last year i felll in love with a math teacher and the biggest mistake i did was that i told all of my friends about this and all of my teachers also found out.

i even had to go to the principal, believe me this was really embarrassing having the teacher sit you down and explain you what you should and what you should't do.

so our schools going to start in a few days and what i and what you should do is just drop it. Don't ever let him notice or he'll start avoiding you.

you don't want that.

it's not your fault it's totally normal believe me and it will actually faid away whether you believe it or not your interesses in people will change so just leave it as it is and enjoy the lessons you have with him just don't go far like i did okay!please don't make the same mistake as it can end really bad :)!good luck

Abella agony auntYou are not alone. So many have gone before you. And falling in love with anyone can lead to those fluttery feelings in your tummy. A light headed feeling like you could skip through a meadow.
