writes:Alright, my ex and I have been broken up for about 3 months. We talked this weekend which mainly included me crying and explaining how I viewed the break up. He had broken up with me. He said that he wanted to think about a few things and for me to give him a few days. He then called me back later that night and just left me a message stating that I could call him if I ever need him. What do you think he wants to think about? What do you take of this?? Thanks. I am so confused.

 WEll..he's not sure if he wants to have a relationship with you at all. He broke up with you 3 months ago, and may be feeling like he made the right decision. Sorry, I know that hurts, but that's what I'm reading in to your note. I've gotten the standard "if you ever need anything call me"...statement also. That phrase means "hey, I really liked you at one time..but, I'm over it..but, if you ever have something really bad happen to you...I'll listen to you"...that's how I percieved my message. Let him have his space. Let him think. But, whatever the answer is be okay with that. You want someone that wants you as badly as you want him!

Perhaps he just called to see how you were because you were upset earlier, got your answering machine, and tried to say something like "Call me if you need to talk some more." I can't stand answering machines myself, it always comes out wrong. Maybe he's the same...
