 I don't understand? What's to fear? You try something new, you like it, you keep doing it... you don't like it, never do it again. I'm sure you head the expression "variety is the spice of life" -- embrace it...
Is the problem that you don't know what to try? I think that if you Google "sexual positions", you're bound to find some ideas. As long as you and your partner are up for it, go forth and have fun!
...or maybe this is an inhibition issue? Maybe you just need to let go a little, relax and enjoy the experience...
