reader, anonymous, writes (21 August 2009): There may be a language barrier here... clearly she meant to ask if her hymen might still be intact as there was no blood the first time.The answer is that your hymen may ahve already been streched enough so that the first time it didn't rip and bleed. You boyfreind sounds like he's a bit uneducated in understanding how women's bodys work, and is beliving that every virgin bleeds. It's simply not true.Let him get in the internet and get educated... good luck

The HYMEN may have broke when you were younger during some sport or excercise routine and you may not have noticed it as you may have thought you just had your period when you started to bleed. I have never heard of the HYMEN being elastic like?? Sometimes if your not turned on enough when your boyfriend thrust inside you it can be uncomfortable but it could also be a sign of an infection. Because your hymen may already be broken you shouldn't bleed after sex otherwise this is also a sign of an infection or std.

 Number one. you are not a virgin. if you've had sex, you've broken your virginity.
Number two. i suggest you go read up on the internet more about the term 'virgintiy'.
And i suggest that if sex is still painful and if you still bleed, then go make an appointment with your doctor or a gynaecologist before having more sex. Because you most likely have some sort of problem - it isn't natural. It may be small and quick to solve, or it could be a lot more important. so i suggest you go for medical help asap and stop wondering about such things online!

In answer to your question. Some women just don't bleed, Others hymen break in other ways when they are younger. That's your explanation.

I'm 14 and even I know that once you've had sex then your no longer a virgin. It's not rocket science.
Once a penis has entered your vagina. That's it. Your no longer a virgin.
And what's up with this blood? If you don't bleed that doesn't mean your still a virgin.

 If what you say is correct, and you have had sex 30 times, then you are most definitely no longer a virgin.
I hope that doesnt upset you too much, but if your partner managed to get his penis inside you are no longer a virgin. Not all girls bleed when they first have sex, and your hymen (the piece of skin which covers the vagina) may well have been broken way before this - it happens, sport, physical activities, using tampons - can all break your hyman prior to sex.
The pain you are experiencing is probably when he hits the top of your cervix during sex with his penis - this can be painful and he just needs to go a bit easier on you and not so deep in those positions.
Please dont worry about this - you are obviously enjoying a healthy sex life, so be glad that you didnt have a painful and bloody first time!
