girl my boyfriend is almost 18 and i'm almost 16. we've been having sex since i was a freshman! don't get me wrong it's pretty amazing. but it won't mean anything if you're not madly and deeply in love. if you love him more than anything and you have to be POSITIVE the he feels the same way about you than go for it. but make sure to talk to him about things that are on your mind about it to make sure you guys are on the same page. if not than it's a possibility that it can ruine the relationship. and don't worry about gettin in trouble w/ the police just don't let your parents know (unless their cool bout it)and don't do it where you can get caught by the popo! like in his car at a parking lot, or at a party where the cops may show up! it'll only stress you out if you worry bout gettin in trouble. love him but still play it safe!

It is against the law to have sex if u are under the age of consent as u know is 16 years old. Ur boyfriend is over the age of consent and MAY get into trouble if he has sex with u.

bonym agony auntSweetie you have a great guy who is not enforcing underage sex on you, be glad. Trust me girl, sex so young is NOT wise. You may think you want sex now, but really, I personally think you are too young emotionally and physically for it, sex is something beautiful, and virginity is SACRED, dont lose it just like that, wait. xXx

Two of these posters gave you very poor advice. He COULD get into legal trouble; you could get in big trouble with your parents; you could get hurt and disappointed - 14, even going on 15, is a tender, vulnerable age - and you could get pregnant or worse.

Forget about having sex with him.

A male reader, anonymous, writes (31 October 2006):

Why f*** up a good thing (sex) by thinking about police? Isn't that his worry? He can decide if it's worth it or not. Besides, it isn't as if you were holding a knife to his throat to make him do it. At 17 years of age, it's likely that he's been around, and this could mean an extra special time for you. So, I say do it and have a great time. Be sure to write about it in your diary and to get word back to those of us on this site (who are cheering for you). One word of caution however: just make sure you've got a willing partner lined up ahead of time in case the 17 year old chickens out. Sometimes that happens...don't let it wreck your day. Boy oh boy do I wish I were 17 again!!!

If you know the legal age to have sex is 16, you also know the answer to your question.

Don't! You are too young, and you don't want to risk getting pregnant or catching an STD. at 14 you still have a lot of growing up to do. Don't be in a rush to get into sexual activity.

I think he can get into trouble. It happened to one of my friends, but only because her mother found out. My mother also had my ex arrested because of my age when we had sex. You can have sex with him, but make sure your parents don't find out. If they find out, and they are mad about, then they can file a police report and he can be picked up.
