if a guy takes the time to stop and say hi to you or smile, when he obviously dosn't have to, then yes... that does mean something. what exactly, i have no clue... could mean he finds you attractive, maybe he's just trying to be nice... it all depends i guess. but almost always it means something good... =)

 If this guy is taking his time to say hi to you, when he could just ignore you i think there is a strong chance he likes you! Love is a strong word nobody loves each other when they first see each other i no they say love at first sight but thats just a deep attraction towards teh person an instant connection which could very well lead you to be with the one you love. My suggestion is to say hi back and give him stares, make it obvious but not extreme! You'll no when its love trust me your heart will skip a beat and you'll no uve found happiness! Its really sweet if you like him to/ Just see where it goes :)

 I thinks its early days to be using the term LOVE, a strong attraction maybe. I would only give a woman prolonged eye contact if i really fancied her. There is this girl at my work and we share long eye contact alot, and i am starting to fall for her bigtime.
As for saying hi i don't think you can put this down to an attraction, its more of a way of acknowledgement of someones presence, as it would be rude to pass you and not say anything atal

 If he goes out of his way to say it, in a kind manner, then yes. If he just walks by and stares, he's having bad thoughts about you. I say hi to this girl at a fruit stand every morning... I'm slowly falling for her...
