writes: Would appreciate any suggestions of something really special I could do for my boyfriend's 23rd birthday (non sexual cos we aren't there yet!) in a few months. Something romantic and sweet (not involving vast sums of money as we both don't have much) that he won't forget, but not too intense that I scare him off!!!

 How about a nice walk somewhere where you can shelter (if it's cold or raining) involving a picnic, some bubbly (cava is a lot cheaper than champagne, and just as nice, IMHO) or something you know he likes to drink, some food he loves, and maybe a heart-shaped cake made by you (or a good cook who owes you a favour!) Any - or all - of these things is nice, especially if it is a surprise, and it could always be done at home if the weather isn't that great. If done with a sense of humour (in case anything goes wrong), it will be a lovely thing for him to remember you by. Have fun!

 maybe you could get a nice frame and put some photos of you 2 together in them, or if he is a person who likes to drink maybe get him a nice flask and have his name in craved on it, if he likes to play card games maybe get him a nice poker chip and card set, maybe some cd's that you know he has been wanting.
