A female United States age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I have got this male friend for +- 8 months now and we’ve known each other for years but we only started to be close recently. We keep in touch regularly and I really enjoy his friendship. Now I am starting to have feelings for him, and suddenly he makes me feel nervous. He is 5 years younger than me but he can be a man enough for me, and he does have a girlfriend…I want to make a move but I’m scared of the rejection response. What can I do??? Please help!!!

This is exactly the way things have been for us poor blokes until very recent times when it became acceptable for the woman to do the chasing.

Tell him that you're reaching that sort of age when you need a man in your life and to look you up if ever his current relationship hits the rocks. Forget about being subtle - we men don't do subtlety!
