The main reasons why it hurts is:
* Its actually the breaking through the hymen that hurts!! if you arent already deflorated get him to do it with his finger a few days before, it will make your 1st time sex ten times less painful
* The second most biggest problem is that alot of inexperienced people dont use lubrication when they arent wet enough, this will hurt both of you and can lead on for days! this also brings STI/STD scares!
* get him to go gentle on you, otherwise you dont want sex with him, if he is doing you very hard it will hurt, i know this sounds obvious, just that after your first few times the skin is more stretched and used to the dick, so a hard fuck will make you reach orgasm quicker but wont be painful
* you should try masterbating with more then one finger or with items such as a dildo to stretch your skin, but remember progression! dont go sticking no dildo thats ten times wider then you, that will be very painful!! Start with 2 fingers several times a day then move up and try three etc.

I had the same worries as you but I was pleasantly surprised. But... part of it is that we had a strong emotional bond first... so dont rush it. It'll go fine physically if you feel right about it emotionally.

Whatever happens, the reason you feel too tight is because your nervous. When you're nervous your muscles clench and it may be difficult to have sex. Foreplay should relax you, as should talking to your boyfriend about how nervous you are. Chances are he'll feel the same!!
