A male United States age 41-50, anonymous writes:

earlier this me and my cuz went out to a night club we both had beeb drinking that night so as the night went on we startedto dance i notice that we were dancing kinda close to each other she never moved or said anything so i startedto dance closer and begin to grind her from behind and she still just continue to dance so for the rest of the night i continue hug on her alnight and even onthe way home i still continue to rub on her legs etc. so when we got to her home i ask her was everything ok and she said yes so the next day i i text her and told her how i was feeling and all day i waited for a response that when i recieved it, it broke my heart.she said like to hang out with me but she didnt want to mess things up by getting into extra and i was cool with that but every time we go out together the same thing happens. im confused on how she feels i want more but im not sure what to do.

A male reader, Linton United States +, writes (3 October 2011):

Maybe she is feaked out by the cousin thing. You didn't mention whether you were first cousins. I'd suggest getting the facts on cousins and babies. After all, if you are thinking love you are thinking babies, even if you are thinking "no." The reference is A. Helgason et al., SCIENCE volume 319: page 813 (2008) That is about the best respected scienfic journal there is. The article will cost a few bucks at sciencemag.org. That's a lot cheaper than a night at a night club or an unnecessary broken heart. The word from science is that there is an optimal range of kinship. Most of the world, including most biologists, haven't learned this yet. But it may matter a lot to you.
