I told this guy twice that I was too busy to see him. Does it seem too needy if I ask him out myself?

A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

If a guy you like has asked you out twice already, but both times you have been busy so you couldn't go, would it be desperate or needy if the girl asked him out when she was free? Because this guy, I do like him and I have said we can go out another time, so he doesn't think I'm blowing him off. But I'm sure he already must assume I'm not interested because I have said no twice.

Would it be desperate to ask him out instead? At least this way I've made the effort and if he wants to see me he can, otherwise it's his loss. I just don't want to come across needy or anything, I know some guys don't like when a girl asks them out... Opinions please?

Honeypie agony auntNo I don't think there would be any thing wrong in asking him out on a date since you busy twice when he asked. It shows that you are interested and didn't "blow him off" when you were busy.

I would ask him out, it's not needy in this case. It will show him that you were actually busy, not that you weren't interested, and if he says no then his loss. Good Luck
