A male reader, rcn United States +, writes (10 January 2009):

rcn agony auntThere's a reason those feelings exist, and a majority of the time come true. There's a part of your brain that carries every experience, every visual and audio that you've heard or seen. In that, you've either experienced cheating, had someone who's told you about it happening to them, seen it on tv etc. With that, there are a large number of signs to show someone is not being truthful. Even though you may not consciously think about the signs, your mind adds up 1+1 then creates this "warning" feeling you are having.
